Sawan 2023 Date and time -:
In the month of Sawan, rainy and green weather is seen all around. Religiously this month is also associated with Lord Shiva. It is called the favorite month of Lord Shiva. It is believed that worshiping Lord Bholenath and performing Jalabhishek in the month of Sawan fulfills all your wishes.
On the day of Sawan Monday fast and Sawan Shivratri, Shiva devotees anoint Lord Shiva with Ganges water on the day of Shivratri. In the year 2023, the month of Sawan is going to start on 4th July. this year! Sawan is going to have special importance. Due to Adhik Maas, the month of Sawan will be 2 months instead of one.
In such a situation, the month of Sawan will end on 31 August 2023. In the ongoing month of Shravan, a total of 8 Sawan Monday fasts will come and nine Mangala Gauri fasts will be observed. This kind of cooperation is being seen after 19 years.
The first Sawan Monday fast is on 10th July. The second is on Monday 17th July. The third fast is on the 24th of July while the fourth Monday is on the 31st of July. The fifth is reading on Monday 7th August. The fast of the sixth Monday will be on the 14th of August. The seventh Monday will be on August 21 and the eighth Monday will be on August 28.
First of all wake up early in the Sawan fast and take a bath and then take a vow of fasting and clean the place of worship and establish Vedic rituals. Light a lamp in the temple of the house. Worship the Shiva family in the morning and evening. Light a sesame oil lamp and offer white flowers to Lord Shiva, chant Lord Shiva’s mantras, and recite Shiva Chalisa.
Perform Jalabhishek and Rudrabhishek of Shivling and offer betel nut, panchamrit, coconut, and belpatra. Don’t forget to recite the story of Sawan Vrat and offer food to Lord Shiva. The fast can be broken after the worship is over in the evening. According to the scriptures, the month of Shravan is the best month to worship Lord Shiva. At this time Mahadev, the God of Gods, operates the entire creation.
There is such a description in the Shiv Purana that in the month of Shravan, Mother Parvati observed a strict fast to get Bholenath as her husband by remaining fasting. For this reason, this month is very dear to Lord Shiva. This month Shivpaksha offers water on Shivling. Performing Rudrabhishek in the month of Savan is also said to be very fruitful.
